ALASKA ENERGY EFFICIENCY LEADERSHIP AWARD
The Alaska Energy Efficiency Leadership Awards are an initiative of the Alaska Energy Efficiency
Partnership (AEEP) that is intended to recognize individuals and organizations successfully
making strides toward the AEEP’s mission of Alaska someday becoming the most energy
efficient state in the nation. Two awards are given annually, one each for an individual and an
organization. The awards must be for different projects. Anyone in Alaska can submit
nominations. The AEEP Award Committee will review and score nominations, selecting the top
three in both categories for review and selection by the full AEEP.
The Individual Leadership Award will be given to an individual that has gone above and beyond
expectations in their personal or professional capacity and made a significant contribution to
advance energy efficiency in a community, a region, or statewide. The awardee leads by
example and has championed work that produced outstanding economic, educational and/or
environmental improvement for Alaskans.
The Organization Leadership Award will be given to an organization that has demonstrated
their commitment to advancing energy efficiency in a community, a region, or statewide. The
awardee has led by example and has dedicated resources that has led to economic, educational
and/or environmental improvements for some group of Alaskans.

Section 4: Please tell us in no more than one page (500 words) why the person, project or
organization you are nominating should be given the leadership award. Feel free to attach your
response as a separate document or letter to the Award Committee.
INSTRUCTIONS
The nomination period is always open, any applications received by August 1, will be
considered for an award. There are two awards, Individual Leadership and Organizational
Leadership awards. Winners will be announced in October. Please download this nomination
form, fill it out and then email the completed form and any additional documents to:
efficiency@akenergyauthority.org.
