Box 7 ° Metlakatla, AK 99926 ° (907) 886-6000 Accredited by Northwest Accreditation Association April 5, 1985 RECEIVED AF? 12 1985 Brent Petrie ALASKA POWER AUTHORITY, The Alaska Power Authority 334 W. 5th Avenue Anchorage, Alaska 99501 Dear Mr. Petrie: Over the past several months, I have had contact with three or four repre- sentives of your office. Those individuals were in Metlakatla for the purpose of examining the possiblity of installing a diesel electric generator system and waste heat recovery system in Metlakatla. My purpose in writing this letter is to request that the Alaska Power Authority conduct a feasibility study which will analyze the cost benefit resulting from installation of an alternate diesel electric generator system with waste heat recovery component for the Annette Islands School District. I am particularly interested in a statement regarding the feasibility for power- ing the LAC and high school facilities in the school district. On a separate issue, the enclosures which accompany this letter are pro- vided at the request of one of your engineer when he was visiting our school district on Friday, March 29, 1985. Perhaps you could give them to Roy as he was interested in getting them from us. Your response to this letter will be appreciated. Sincerely, [let / Boooremae Ld! Walter E. Bromenschenkel, Ed.D. I have learned, that you are working on your district heating project, for which BBC Brown Boveri District Heating and Cooling, Inc. quoted you a price on the necessary underground piping system, In the meantime our company has taken over the agency of the i.c.mgller piping system products in the US. I was the General Manager of the former BBC company, and I am now the General Manager of DANINGI, Inc., therefore be convinced we will provide you the same high quality prod- ucts and service as previously. We would like very much to receive information about your project, as we unfortunately in the transition have lost the file regarding your project. This will enable us to quickly provide you an updated price on the piping material. Also please let us know, whether you have received our American version of the i.c.mgller manual. We will be looking forward to hearing from you, Sincerely Jens Madsen Gen.
