Smith Manager, Rural Programs Alaska Energy Authority P.O. Box 190869 Anchorage, AK 99519-0869 Subject: PCE Generation Efficiency Improvement Program Dear Mr. Smith: Please find attached a listing of five generation projects that would substantially improve generating efficiency. Also enclosed are cost estimate forms for each of the projects identified by village. Finally, also enclosed, are summary copies of the 1989 power generation statistics for each of these five locations. AVEC is anxious to accelerate its practice of making continued efficiency improvements. The funds made available through this program will allow AVEC to make even faster progress. We are looking forward to rapid review and approval of funding to allow for procurement and delivery during the 1990 barging season. Please let me know if additional information is required prior to approval. Sincerely, Yah € NAD Mark E.
