RESOLUTION 2017-02
RESOLUTION OF THE ALASKA ENERGY AUTHORITY
RELATING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF AN ACTING
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
WHEREAS, Section 5 of the Bylaws of the Alaska Energy Authority (“Authority”)
provides inter alia, that the Authority shall appoint an Executive Director;
WHEREAS, the By-Laws of the Authority further provide that the Executive Director of
the Authority is the Secretary-Treasurer of the Authority;
WHEREAS, the current Executive Director of the Authority resigned that position
effective the end of the day on August 15, 2017;
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest and in the best interests of the Authority that John
Springsteen, be appointed Acting Executive Director of the Authority as the selection of a
permanent Executive Director is underway.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ALASKA ENERGY
AUTHORITY AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Effective as of August 16, 2017, John Springsteen is appointed Acting
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer of the Authority.
Section 2. From time to time, as may be required on a temporary basis, when the
Acting Executive Director is unavailable, the Acting Executive Director may designate any
Assistant Secretary of the Authority to act on his behalf. The person so designated shall have all
the duties and powers of the Acting Executive Director of the Authority during the period the
Acting Executive Director is unavailable.
