KONGIGANAK FUEL PIPING
Shows the piping that was removed. This is
the 3" fill line.
Bulk fuel tanks and manifold piping. 3"
victualic piping. Tanks are on wooden deck
supported by piles. This piping was not
replaced.
This is the main fill line at the deck
transition point, showing new flexible joint
and piping. NOTE: This 90° degree elbow is
before the value in photo #2. The tee
connection with 90° degree elbow is for the
safety relief value.
This photo shows the tie into the main fill
line. The piping on the left continues to the
Village Safewater bulk fuel tanks and the
Power Plant bulk fuel tanks. The piping on
the right hand side continues to the beach.
Shows the piping that connects to the village
tanks (Village Safewater and Power Plant).
3" beach fill line - looking back toward the
bulk storage tanks. The picture was taken
from the 45° degree elbow in this line.
Shows the 45° degree elbow in the 3" beach
fill line. Left side to tanks, right side to
beach.
At the terminus of the line looking back
toward the 45° degree elbow.
3" fi11 line terminus with catchment pan. We
will be switching the check valve and gate
valve positions so that we can drain the line
easier.
3" fill line near beach end looking toward
bulk storage tanks. We have installed two
crossing points over the line as indicated in
the picture. One for pedestrians and the
other for snowmachines and fourwheelers.
Typical butt welded joint.
Photograph #12 - This photo has several sets of piping shown.
The black wrapped pipe is new and is the
distribution piping. This line tee's in the
middle. One end comes from the fuel transfer
pump, the middle leg is going to the housing
units, the other leg is going to the school
and generator building. The rusted pipe that
lies next to the wrapped pipe is the original
distribution piping. The rusted piping that
is high up is the Power Plant fuel
distribution line. The lower pipe on the
right side is the village Safewater
distribution line.
Photograph #13 - This photo shows the original and new
distribution piping, standing at the 90°
degree elbow in the school line. The left
side goes back toward the transfer pump, the
piping toward goes to the school.
Photograph #14 - Standing at the elbow looking toward the
school and generator building. NOTE: The
expansion loop and tee connection to generator
building.

line. Right side - from transfer pump
Left side - to school day tank
Middle - to generator day tank
Photograph #17 - Shows generator day tank piping and tank
connection.
Photograph #18 - Shows the school day tank connection with the
safety relief valve installed. This safety is
on the distribution side of the transfer pump.
Photograph #19 - Distribution piping. Middle of tee is from
the transfer pump. Left side goes to house #1
day tank, the right side goes to houses #2 and
#3.

= Shows the fuel day tanks at house #2. Tank
set #2 has 2 500 gallon day tanks, 1 serves
house #2, the other the vocational education
shop. Left side of tee is from the transfer
pump, middle of tee is the tank fill piping,
the right side continues onto house #3 fuel
day tank.
- Show the flexible joints for the 2 tanks at
house #2.
- Shows the piping that goes to house #3,
standing at house #2 day tank.
- House #3 fuel day tank and fill piping.
NOTES:
1. These photographs were taken in July 1992.
2. We have removed all of the original fuel piping from the
site.
3. All lines have been blocked up and secured to blocks.
4. All welded joints have been primed and taped.
5. There are three work items left to do. The will be
accomplished before freezeup this year.
a. Install safety relief valve in beach fill line.
See photo #3.
b. Modify the fuel fill piping at house #3 fuel day
tank. The piping will enter the top of the tank
full sized. See photo #26.
Cc. The valves at the beach terminal will be switched
around to facilitate draining the line.
