MATANUSKA ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION
RESOLUTION NO. 2131
SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF RENEWABLE ENERGY FUND (REF) GRANT
APPLICATION
WHEREAS, Matanuska Electric Association (MEA) along with Homer
Electric Association (HEA), Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) and Chugach
Electric Association (CEA) are in agreement to move forward with Phase II of the
Railbelt Wind Study; and
WHEREAS, Phase 2 of the Railbelt Wind Study is to complete a Railbelt
Wind Feasibility and Conceptual Design Project; and
WHEREAS, MEA has budgeted up to $550,000 towards the Railbelt Wind
Study for 2023; and
WHEREAS, The Alaska Energy Authority has grant funds that can be used
to complete Phase II of the Railbelt Wind Study through the Renewable Energy Fund.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of
Matanuska Electric Association, Inc. authorizes the Chief Executive Officer to execute a
grant application with Alaska Energy Authority for up to $1,833,330 from Round 15 of the
Renewable Energy Fund to complete the Railbelt Wind Feasibility and Conceptual
Design Project with a match commitment of up to $550,000.

Electric Association, Inc., this 12' day of December, 2022.
