Native Village of Kluti-Kaah Wood Chip Heating Project is a local and sustainable project which proposes to use wood harvested near the community to heat facilities that provide critical community functions. NVKK is in the final stages of completing the construction of this biomass project which will reduce wildfire and manmade fire hazards around the community, promote a healthier habitat in addition to providing local jobs and usable heat. Ahtna, Inc. is one of the regional ANCSA corporations established by Congress in 1971. We are committed to wise stewardship of Ahtna lands, responsible economic growth for future generations of Ahtna people which help us navigate our goal of preserving, strengthening, and enhancing our cultural identity which has existed for thousands of years. Our efforts are focused on providing opportunities for shareholders, continued business growth and diversification and effective management of all Ahtna resources. NVKK's biomass project is the exact type of project which fulfills our goals. NVKK's biomass project has current resources available and plans to establish a sustainable means of providing essential heat to critical buildings which allow safe space for our shareholders to meet and work together. The Native Village of Kluti-Kaah is developing projects which give opportunities to which our communities need. In this project, NVKK is utilizing renewable resources and creating sustainable solutions and we will continue to support them. We are excited to witness this project's success.
