This system was designed for SITE NAME. This document describes the LYNC DR® System Commissioning and Test Plan after installation. The tests below are necessary to confirm proper operation of the Go Electric components and control systems required. After completion of this system acceptance test plan, Go Electric components and control systems will be ready for the systems integration. 7 Go Electric, Inc., Proprietary and Confidential TEST SCHEDULE INDIVIDUAL SUBSYSTEM PHASES Prior to commissioning the LYNC DR® system, the set-up and installation of the system must be completed by the installing contractor. Reference the Installation Manual for proper instructions. There are two phases that must be completed prior to releasing the Go Electric LYNC DR® system for utilization. Phase one must be completed before the system is connected to the Utility Grid. Once this process is complete, the system will be available for certification by local regulating authorities. After final approval, the system must undergo phase two. The specifications for each phase are described in the following sections in detail. Phase 1: 1. LYNC DR® Commissioning 2. Saft Battery Commissioning 3. BESS Functionality Testing Phase 2: 1. Utility Grid Functionality Testing 2. SCADA/EMS Communications & Signals The BESS system can be released for system acceptance testing. All commissioning findings and test data will be summarized into an official Go Electric Inc. report. Installation • Local contractor to install LYNC DR®system and Saft Battery container. • Connections to be made prior to arrival of Go Electric Personnel Phase 1 • Grid independent testing • Hardware checks • Verify software and communications Phase 2 • Grid Connected Testing • Verify power commanded locally • Verify power commanded remotely 8 Go Electric, Inc., Proprietary and Confidential Phase 1: LYNC DR® COMMISSIONING This is the procedure for commissioning of LYNC DR® System (serial #042). The following work will be completed by a Go Electric Inc representative. Below is a general outline of the integration and testing: 1. General Inspection 2. Wiring Inspection 3. Initial Control System Power-up 4. Verify Control System Measurements 5. Verify Communication 6. Software Check / Update 7. Verify System Operation 8. Verify System Measurements a. 24VDC b. HVDC c. HVAC SAFT BATTERY COMMISSIONING This is the procedure for the commissioning and testing of the battery systems. This work will be completed by a Saft qualified Go Electric personnel with the assistance of the general contractor. The battery commissioning document will be provided by Saft. BESS FUNCTIONALITY TESTING This is the procedure for the commissioning and testing of the integrated equipment. All subsystem commissioning must be completed prior to beginning the testing below. Utility Grid Functionality Testing requires connection to the Utility Grid. The following work will be completed by Go Electric personnel. The following is a general outline of the integration and testing: 1. Locally command and verify that the LYNC DR® system and the Saft batteries can connect and synchronize with the utility. 2. Locally command various power levels to and from the utility grid. 3. Static Capacity Testing a. Charging the battery to 100% SOC and then discharging it a constant power to 0% SOC and reporting the total energy in KWH. 4. Hybrid Pulse Power Characterization (HPPC) a. The HPPC test is a 10-second charge and discharge pulse at full power performed at 50-percent depth-of-discharge. This is used to characterize the power capabilities of the battery. 9 Go Electric, Inc., Proprietary and Confidential Phase 2: UTILITY GRID FUNCTIONALITY TESTING This is the procedure for the commissioning and testing of the integrated equipment. All subsystem commissioning must be completed prior to the start of the Utility Grid Functionality Testing. This work will be completed by Go Electric personnel. The set of testing is locally controlled from the LYNC DR system and requires connection to the Utility Grid. The following is a general outline of the integration and testing: 1. Locally command various power levels to and from the utility grid. 2. Locally command various reactive power levels to and from the utility grid. 3. Verify the Microgrid grid interruption behavior. SCADA/EMS COMMUNICATIONS & SIGNALS This is the procedure for the commissioning and testing the LYNC DR® system in communications with the SCADA and specific commands. The list of tests below is similar to the Utility Grid Functionality testing in the previous section. This work will be completed by Go Electric personnel in conjunction with SCADA/EMS provider. The following is a general outline of the integration and testing: 4. Verify communications with the SCADA Controller. 5. LYNC DR receives complete signals from SCADA 6. SCADA receives specified signals from LYNC DR®. 7. SCADA sends specified signals to the LYNC DR®. 8. Verify the LYNC DR system behavior. TESTING COMPLETED Once all testing above is completed, a Go Electric Inc. representative will train the person or persons responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of the system. The LYNC DR® system can now be released.
