Environmental
• KEA will provide campus heat will be extended to any battery solution that needs
maintenance heat during winter conditions.
• KEA has a district heating system for all of its buildings.
• There are not any cooling sources currently available.
Electrical Interface
• A 500 kVa transformer connecting at 480 V is available. If a larger transformer is
needed KEA will specify and provide the transformer.
• There is an existing breaker and protective relaying for a battery installation. The
metering that will be used for the project is an existing EPM 6000 meter
Accommodations
• KEA has a 3 bedroom apartment with full kitchen and laundry that will be available for
installers and be available at no charge.
• Food is to be supplied by installers.

In order to simplify the RFP process KEA will assume responsibility for local
transportation of the equipment once it reaches the Kotzebue dock. It will be less
complicated to have us organize and supervise the local transportation. This will be done
in conjunction with the equipment supplier.
KEA will assume responsibility for equipment placement once on site. This will be done
in conjunction with the equipment supplier.
