A RESOLUTION OF THE PEDRO BAY VILLAGE COUNCIL APPROVING AND ENDORSING THE KNUTSON
CREEK HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT AND THE GRANT FUNDING APPLICATION TO THE ALASKA ENERGY
AUTHORITY (AEA) RENEWABLE ENERGY FUND ROUND 13 (FY 2022) FOR PROJECT CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, the Pedro Bay Village Council (hereinafter Council) operates the local electric utility for the
community of Pedro Bay, and wishes to lower and stabilize the cost of power, and to reduce the
community's reliance on diesel generation, and
WHEREAS, the Council approves and endorses the Knutson Creek Hydroelectric Project, and has
successfully completed a reconnaissance study, a feasibility study, and permitting & design, and
WHEREAS, the Council seeks funding for the Construction phase of the project, and the AEA offers
funding through its Renewable Energy Fund Round 13 grants,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Pedro Bay Village Council hereby officially approves and
endorses the Knutson Creek Hydroelectric Project and the application to the Alaska Energy Authority
(AEA) Renewable Energy Fund Round 13 (FY 2022) for project Construction.
CERTIFICATION:
The foregoing resolution was duly approved and adopted at a regular meeting of the Pedro Bay Village
Council this 7=�iday of September, 2020, a quorum being present for a legal vote, with in
favor, and opposed, and abstaining.
