this form will be used in evaluating the application for a permit. Routine Uses: This information may be shared with the Department of Justice and other
federal, state, and local government agencies, and the public and may be made available as part of a public notice as required by Federal law. Submission
of requested information is voluntary, however, if information is not provided the permit application cannot be evaluated nor can a permit be issued. One set
of original drawings or good reproducible copies which show the location and character of the proposed activity must be attached to this application (see
sample drawings and/or instructions) and be submitted to the District Engineer having jurisdiction over the location of the proposed activity. An application

200 KW RUN -OF -RIVER HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT ON KNUTSON CREEK TO SERVE VILLAGE OF PEDRO BAY.
INCLUDES UNPAVED 18-FOOT WIDE ACCESS ROADS/TRAILS FROM VILLAGE OF PEDRO BAY, CONCRETE AND ROCK
FILL DIVERSION/INTAKE STRUCTURE TO WITHDRAW 20 CUBIC FEET PER SECOND FROM KNUTSON CREEK, 24-INCH
DIAMETER PENSTOCK, POWERHOUSE, TAILRACE RETURNING ALL WATER TO CREEK, UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC
POWER EXTENSION FROM VILLAGE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM TO HYDRO POWERHOUSE, UNDERGROUND CONTROL
CABLE CONNECTION TO EXISTING DIESEL POWERHOUSE, AND APPURTENANT FACILITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS.

THIS PROJECT WILL PROVIDE A RENEWABLE SOURCE OF ELECTRICITY TO THE VILLAGE OF PEDRO BAY TO REDUCE
CONSUMPTION OF DIESEL FUEL BURNED FOR ELECTRICITY GENERATION. THIS PROJECT WILL REDUCE AND
STABILIZE ELECTRICITY COSTS IN THE COMMUNITY. CONSTRUCTION IS ESTIMATED TO COMMENCE IN MAY 2021
AND BE COMPLETED IN OCTOBER 2022.
USE BLOCKS 20-23 IF DREDGED ANDIOR FILL MATERIAL IS TO BE DISCHARGED

NO DREDGING IS PROPOSED FOR THIS PROJECT.
FILL MATERIAL IS REQUIRED TO (1) CONSTRUCT ACCESS ROADS, TRAILS, AND OTHER CIVIL SITE WORK TO BUILD
AND OPERATE THE PROJECT, AND (2) CONSTRUCT THE DIVERSION AND INTAKE STRUCTURE TO (a) DIRECT PROJECT
WATER INTO PENSTOCK, (b) SAFELY PASS KNUTSON CREEK FLOOD FLOWS BACK INTO THE CREEK CHANNEL
DOWNSTREAM OF THE DIVERSION STRUCTURE, AND (c) PROVIDE FOR FISH PASSAGE AROUND THE DIVERSION
STRUCTURE.
