Dear Mr. Thayer,
As a major stakeholder in the Port of Skagway, White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad is pleased to support
Burro Creek Holdings' application for a Renewable Energy Fund grant from the Alaska Energy Authority,
Electrification of the port Is a shared goal of the railroad, the community and the cruise lines. As the
Municipality works to re -envision its waterfront, Burro Creek offers an opportunity for environmentally sound
development and innovatlon. The addition of two to seven megawatts of available clean power would be a
significant enhancement to the Port and should be integrated into the Port's planning process.
