Dear Sirs and Madams:
Cordova Electric Cooperative is pleased to submit this renewable energy grant fund (REF) application
for hydroelectric storage potential in the Cordova area as recommended by the AEA. CEC has invested
nearly $1,000,000 in area hydro assessments and encourage AEA to assist us in building on this
preliminary work. CEC is committed to 100% renewable energy production and hydroelectric storage is
the key to that path for Cordova. In addition to energy, hydro storage sites can also store water to
support a growing seafood, mariculture, and aquaculture industry in Cordova.
