Dear Alaska Energy Authority:
Naknek Electric Association (NEA) is pleased to submit an application for the Renewable Energy Fund
Round 13 for our Naknek Service Area Wind and Solar Power Feasibility and Conceptual Design project.
We look forward to briefing AEA on the project and we hope that the project will point the way toward
the introduction of large scale wind and solar power in NEA service area, which includes Naknek, South
Naknek and King Salmon. Large scale wind and solar have to potential to substantially reduce the
amount of annual diesel fuel consumed thereby reducing costs and carbon emissions.
