Resolution #15-23: Authorizing submission of AEA REGP application
WHEREAS, the Hoonah Indian Association (HIA) is an Indian tribe as defined in Section 4 of
the Indian Self -Determination and Education Assistance Act, PL. 93-638, 25 U.S.C. 450b; and
WHEREAS, the Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) is seeking Applicants for Round IX of it
Renewable Energy Grant Program (REGP); and
WHEREAS, AEA REGP Round IX funding are available to tribal governments and their
instrumentalities, and
WHEREAS, AEA REGP Round IX funding applications must be received by September 15,
2015.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Hoonah Indian Association Board of
Directors authorizes the submission of an application to the AEA for funding of a renewable
energy project, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the Hoonah Indian Association hereby designates the
Tribal Administrator as the authorized designated official for the purposes of application for the
AEA REGP grant, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the Tribal Administrator is authorized to negotiate and
execute funding agreements and any other instruments or documents on behalf of Hoonah Indian
Association, and to take any other official action necessary to make application for the AEA
REGP grant program.
CERTIFICATION
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly adopted by a vote of the Board of Directors of
the Association on this 14th day of September 15, 2015 with a vote of 5—Ayes, 0 Nays, >
Abstentions, A Absent, and --L- Vacancy.
