GRANT FUNDING AUTHORIZATION FOR THE GRANT LAKE HYDROELECTRIC
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Homer Electric Association, Inc. (HEA) wishes to
complete the final design and permitting (Phase III) of the Small Scale Hydro Project at Grant
Lake.
NOW THEREFORE;
BE IT RESOLVED, that Homer Electric Association, Inc. (HEA) Board of Directors
hereby authorizes the General Manager to proceed on behalf of Kenai Hydro, LLC with the Alaska
Energy Authority’s Renewable Energy Fund Round IX grant application process and pledges grant
matching funds in the not to exceed amount of $725,528 and an additional in-kind labor match of
$150,000.
CERTIFICATION
I, David B. Thomas, do hereby certify that I am the Secretary of Homer Electric
Association, Inc., and that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a meeting of the Directors of
Homer Electric Association, Inc. held on September 8, 2015, at which meeting a quorum was
present.
