RESOLUTION 2015-55
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF UNALASKA AUTHORIZING
DONALD MOORE, CITY MANAGER, TO APPLY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE
ALASKA ENERGY AUTHORITY'S RENEWABLE ENERGY FUND GRANT
PROGRAM AND DESIGNATING DAN WINTERS, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
UTILITIES, AS THE CONTACT PERSON FOR THIS GRANT AND APPLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Unalaska is currently seeking renewable energy sources to
reduce energy production costs; and
WHEREAS, Water Treatment Plant Inline Micro Turbines Project is a viable and cost
effective option for the City; and
WHEREAS, the Alaska Energy Authority is accepting grant applications for qualifying
renewable energy projects such as the City's proposed Water Treatment Plant Inline
Micro Turbines Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Unalaska is in compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws,
including in good standing with respect to its existing credit and federal tax obligations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Unalaska
authorizes Donald Moore, City Manager, to apply for funding under the Alaska Energy
Authority's Renewable Energy Fund Grant Program and designates Dan Winters,
Director of Public Utilities, contact person for this grant and application.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY A DULY CONSTITUTED QUORUM OF THE
UNALASKA CITY COUNCIL THIS 2015.
