HomeMy WebLinkAboutLPB Reso 14-13 wood boilers signedLAKE AND PENINSULA BOROUGH RESOLUTION 14-13 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LAKE AND PENINSULA BOROUGH’S APPLICATION TO THE ALASKA ENERGY AUTHORITY’S RENEWABLE ENERGY FUND AND ALLOCATION OF FUNDS AS MATCH WHEREAS, Lake and Peninsula Borough is committed to alleviating the energy crisis for citizens and businesses in Lake and Peninsula Borough, and WHEREAS, the Lake and Peninsula Borough has applied for funds from the Alaska Energy Authority for the following energy projects  Nondalton Wood Heat Construction Project  Port Alsworth Wood Heat Construction Project  Pedro Bay Wood Heat Construction Project WHEREAS, the Lake and Peninsula has offered a cash match of up to 20% for the project, and WHEREAS, the cash match will come out of the Lake and Peninsula Borough’s General Fund; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lake and Peninsula Borough that the Borough Mayor and Assembly authorize the Borough Manager to apply for and serve as the signatory official and point of contact for the grant application; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, all matching funds for the grants will be withdrawn from the general fund. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lake and Peninsula Borough is in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws including existing credit and federal tax obligations. PASSED AND APPROVED by a duly constituted quorum of the Lake and Peninsula Borough Assembly on this 16th day of September 2014.
