To Whom It May Concern:
Kijik Corporation is the ANCSA village corporation for the community of Nondalton. The majority of
Nondalton's residents are shareholders or descendants of shareholders of Kijik Corporation. As such,
Kijik has a high level of interest in the various public projects that benefit the community.
Kijik supports the effort to seek, on behalf of Nondalton, funding from the Alaska Energy Authority for a
small wood boiler. As is the case throughout rural Alaska, the cost of diesel (stove oil) is exorbitant and
any effort to curb the use of diesel will benefit the community. Kijik owns the majority of the land and
forest resources surrounding Nondalton and, subject to Kijik's land use permit criteria, will avail wood
cutting areas to support the use of the wood boiler.
