Dear Mr. Calfa:
Enclosed you will find Chugach Electric Association's (Chugach's) renewable energy
grant application for construction of a diversion project at Stetson Creek. This diversion
project, currently being constructed, will increase the hydroelectric energy production
from the Cooper Lake power plant by an estimated 6,020 NM per year.
The grant application package includes:
• The grant application including a grant/budget worksheet and a
costlbenefit worksheet
• Pictures of construction activities and material
Cooper Lake dam and staging area
Excavation in Stetson Canyon
- Finishing slopes along the diversion alignment
HDPE welding tent and machine
Venting pipe
• A map of the area where the project is located
• A signed resolution from Chugach's Board of Directors
• Letters of Support
• A summary of the value of fuel savings due to incremental hydro
production and ongoing operation of the existing Cooper Lake facility
• An organizational chart of Chugach's Power Supply Division
■ An organizational chart of the project team and resumes for the project
manager, key staff and contractors
