Re: Chugach Electric Renewable Energy Grant Application
Dear Mr. Evans:
The Fish for Cooper Creek Coalition Strongly supports Chugach Electric's grant
application for partial funding, of the construction of the Stetson Creek diversion project.
We agreed to, and support. the Stetson Creek diversion project as the best solution for
restoring part of the productive capability of Cooper Creek that was lost with the
development of the hydroelectric project. The diversion will provide ongoing
environmental and recreational benefits from enhanced habitat all along Cooper Creek.
Please feel free to include my comments in support of the project with the renewable
energy grant application Chugach is planning to file with the Alaska Energy Authority,
