Dear Renewable Energy Fund Board,
In 2008, PAIC was approved for funds from AEA’s Renewable Energy Fund Round II. This
project was for hydro kinetic along the Tanalian River. The project had National Park Service
(NPS) support due to its location in the lower portion of the river along a proposed road/bridge
project. Conversations with the NPS today still support this project and an update for this letter is
pending. Many other documents included also support this 2008 project and may be updated
upon request.
Unfortunately, this project was never completed due to complications with Alaska Green Energy.
If awarded the Renewable Energy Fund Round VII, PAIC will take full responsibility for this
project from inception to completion. We have been working with HATCH on this project and
we feel that they are qualified and reliable. However, if HATCH is unable to perform this project
or fails to meet our expectations we will seek another qualified contractor to complete the project.
