AUTHORIZATION FOR AEA GRANT APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the Chignik Lagoon Village Council (CLVC) desires assistance in funding the construction of a
hydroelectric project on Packers Creek; and
WHEREAS, the Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) is accepting grant applications for the fiscal year 2014
funding round VII of the Renewable Energy Grant Program, due on September 24, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the CLVC qualifies to receive funding from the Grant Program.
NOW THEREFORE, the Native Village of Chignik Lagoon, Alaska (the council) agrees and affirms the
following:
1. The Council commits to providing the matching resources for the project as specified in the
grant application, and
2. The Council hereby authorizes Clemens Grunert to sign the grant application, and to commit
CLVC to the obligations under the grant,
3. The Council designates Michelle L. Anderson as the point of contact to represent CLVC for
purposes of the grant application,
4. The Council certifies that CLVC is in compliance with applicable, federal, state and local laws
including existing credit and federal tax obligations.
