This letter is Britten in support of the Minto Village oun il's application for the renewable
Energy Grant Fund Round V — Heat Projects.
Due to the remote location of our interior villages, energy, casts are extra el high; from
$6.00 to over $1 .t1 a gallon for heating fuel. These costs create great odor . stress for
our communities. A large percentage of village operating budgets must be diverted to heating
buildings. These are funds that are needed elsewhere in the community to support programs
that address the health and welfare of our people.
