Dear Mr. Calfa:
The Native Village of Cantwell held a Cantwell Tribal Meeting on September 8"', 2013
and at this meeting it was determined that the village supports continued investigation of
the Jack River Hydro Project with a feasibility study. This project can provide many
benefits to the village and also to the Cantwell Community and the Denali Borough.
The recently completed feasibility study identified several technically viable project
configurations ranging from 1.6 to 7.3 MW of capacity. The feasibility study would
determine the best project configuration by collecting more detailed fisheries, hydrology,
geotechnical and related data for the hydro site.
We have included letters of support for this project from several local governments,
businesses, and community organizations. Please contact me if you have questions and
