This page shows how the grant funding request was generated.
Information from the 2012 feasibility study served as the basis for
the application, but some of the data was modified to develop more
realistic grant requests.
Kettleson: Condition Survey & Needs Assessment (July 2013) recommended the following:
adding 4" of rigid insulation to walls
replacing all windows
adding 8" to 12" of rigid insulation to the roof
elevating the floor above existing slab on grade: 4" to 8" of fill, 4" of rigid insulation, new 4" slab
The cost estimate for these improvements has not been completed. Since the improvements are similar
to the ones planned at Centennial Hall, I pro‐rated the estimated costs of the work at Centennial
Hall based on the building footprint (original library = 8K SF, CH = 25K SF):
wall improvements: 38,555.52$
roof improvements: 154,335.68$
TOTAL 192,891.20$
