Please accept this letter of support for the "Nenana Collaborative Biomass
Heating System Project" application being submitted by the Nenana City School District
in collaboration with the City of Nenana and the Nenana Native Council.
Hello, I am Derek Ketzler, the Student Body President of Nenana High School.
Being on the Student Council, we make decisions everyday to benefit our school and
community. When we, the Student Council, found out about this project, we wanted to
get involved and help make a difference in promoting this grant.
The biomass grant will affect our entire community in a positive way. With this
economy, saving any amount of money is a huge deal; and being in the education
business, it means more currency in education. The community will be providing jobs
that are beneficial for everyone because Nenana doesn't offer a lot of stable positions
for year-round work.
Please give favorable consideration to Nenana's biomass grant application. The
introduction of this program will make a huge difference for our community and serve as
a model for other rural villages in our state.
