RESOLUTION NO. 2012-1
RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT THE CARLO CREEK HYDROELECTRIC
PROJECT RECONNAISSANCE STUDY
WHEREAS, the Native Village of Cantwell is federally recognized Indian Tribe
government which is capable of exercising our sovereign authority to create laws and
policies that protect the health, safety and welfare of our tribal members, and
WHEREAS, the Cantwell Village Council is the governing body of the Native Village of
Cantwell; and
WHEREAS, the Cantwell Village Council is in support of the Carlo Creek
Hydroelectric Project Reconnaissance Study.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cantwell Village Council supports the
Alaska Energy Authority Renewable Energy Grant Program Round VI application that
was submitted by Polarconsult Alaska Inc. on behalf of the Native Village of Cantwell.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 27' of October 2012, by the majority of the
Cantwell Village Council with- —S in favor and a oppose.
