I ant a lilt -long residwt of Ncnana quid a graduate of Ncnana High School who now teaches at
my alma niaktr. I ant writing in support of the Ncnana Collaborative Biomass Hcating System
Prgject" application bciug submitted by the Ncnana City School District together with the
City of' Ncnana and the Nenaua Native Council.
I lied this cause to be very important, not only to Ncnana, but to many communities in Alaska. It
twill serve as a testament of the lcasibility of such prgjecls throughout our state. The Biomass
Hcating System reduces the cost to local and state govemmeut of heating (Ile school and other
public buildings. This project will allow the school district and community to reduce Ihcir
dependence on a resource that has rap kUy increased in cost, wit11 no relief in HOW Finally, this
opportunity will provide badly needed employment for local residents.
