Resolution 2012-16
A Resolution of the Ouzinkie City Council Authorizing Participation in Round 6 of Alaska
Energy Authority's (AEA) Renewable Energy Fund for the Purposes of a Bathymetric
Survey and Marine Geological Study to Refine Submarine Cable Route for Kodiak Electric
Association Inter -Tie Project Grant Application.
Whereas, the City of Ouzinkie is a second class city and eligible to apply for funding under the
guidelines set forth by the Alaska Energy Authority.
Whereas, this entity is an applicant for a grant in the amount of $356,400 from the Alaska
Energy Authority's Renewable Energy Fund Round 6 Grant Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mayor, Dan Clarion, of the City of
Ouzinkie is hereby authorized and has the authority to negotiate and execute any and all
documents required for granting and managing funds on behalf of this organization and
authorizing the Mayor to serve as point of contact.
The Mayor, Dan Clarion, is also authorized to execute subsequent amendments to said grant
agreement to provide for adjustments to the project within the scope of services or tasks, based
upon the needs of the project.
Furthermore, the City of Ouzinkie commits to providing the matching in -kind resources for the
project in the sum of$25,000 for Administrative Services.
The City of Ouzinkie also certifies being in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local,
laws including existing credit and federal tax obligations.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE Ouzinkie City Council on this day of
