Dear Mr. Calfa,
I am writing this letter to support Alaska Gateway School District's Biomass Heat Loop Project being
submitted to the Alaska Energy Authority.
We (Upper Tanana Aging Program) provide Nutrition, Transportation and Support Services to the Elders
in the Upper Tanana Region and Copper River Basin Area. We have senior center/ meal sites in the
communities in these areas, most are in building used not only for our program, but other services in the
community. We share kitchens in community Halls, schools and with the Head Start program in Tok.
WE are in support of AGSD's application to build a heat loop from their wood boiler facility. We are
located close to the wood boiler and would be very interested in purchasing lower cost heating for our
Tok Senior Site/ Head Start Building.
WE are pleased that the proposed project would offer lower and more stable heat energy prices for the
