FINAL 40 FEET OF INTAKE TUNNEL TO BE EXCAVATED DURING
STATION GENERATION OUTAGE. EXCAVATED ROCK MAY BE
DISPOSED OF IN THE EXISTING TUNNEL UPSTREAM OF STATION
66+00 AT THE CONTRACTOR'S CONVENIENCE.
EXISTING HOIST HOUSE, CABLES, SHEAVES AND VENT PIPE WILL
REMAIN IN SERVICE PRIOR TO THE GENERATION OUTAGE.
CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT THESE ITEMS FROM DAMAGE. ANY
DAMAGE SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY REPAIRED.
ALL ACCESS ROADS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED WITH SUPER
ELEVATION TOWARD THE INLAND SIDE SO THAT ROAD RUNOFF IS
COLLECTED AND ROUTED TO A DRAINAGE SUMP. NO ROAD
RUNOFF SHALL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE LAKE DURING
CONSTRUCTION. REFER TO EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION
CONTROL PLAN.
PORTAL ACCESS ROAD AND RELATED EXCAVATION, INCLUDING
EXISTING ROCK COFFERDAM ARE SHOWN FOR THE CONTRACTORS
INFORMATION. CONSTRUCTION OF PORTAL ACCESS ROAD AND THE
ROCK COFFERDAM AS SHOWN ARE NOT REQUIRED. CONTRACTOR
SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ACCESS TO THE
PORTAL AND COFFERDAM ARRANGEMENT.
REFER TO DWG'S 109-05-005, 109-05-017 AND 109-05-018
FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
RESERVOIR ACCESS ROAD SHALL BE 15 FEET WIDE (MINIMUM)
AND PROVIDE CLEAR ACCESS TO THE LAKE AT ELEVATION 360.
