Re: Native Village of Cantwell Jack River Hydro -Feasibility Study
Dear Ms. Fisher -Goad:
In a continuing effort, Ahtna, Incorporated supports and requests the Alaska Energy
Authority for Grant Round VI funding of the Native Village of Cantwell to conduct a feasibility
study on the Jack River hydro -electric potential.
As you are already aware certain funds were allocated to conduct site reconnaissance in
2011. Preliminary results show significant potential for developing this resource.
It is vitally important for the State of Alaska, Native Village of Cantwell and Ahtna to develop
this highly accessible site for the local rail belt communities and businesses.
Thank you for your support of this project and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any
further questions.
Sincerely,
Kath Martin
VP Land and Resources
