RESOLUTION o 6 ®2 in
WHEREAS, Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (Chugach) has an interest in diversifying its
power generation resources to include renewable energy projects; and
WHEREAS, Chugach has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to purchase wind
energy from Fire Island Wind, LLC. (FM, and
WHEREAS, FIW is responsible for the design, construction and financing of the transmission
facilities needed to transmit the wind energy, generated at Fire Island, to Chugach's electric
system in Anchorage; and
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has granted $25 million for this transmission project; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the PPA, Chugach and FIW will seek additional grant funds if the cost
of the transmission system is expected to exceed $25 million; and
WHEREAS, the Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) is currently soliciting Renewable Energy Fund
Grant Applications, including applications for transmission or distribution infrastructure that link
renewable energy projects to other transmission and distribution infrastructure, and
WHEREAS, a resolution that supports the grant application and ensures that Chugach is
compliance with applicable laws is required.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Chugach shall submit an AEA Renewable Energy
Grant Application for the cost of transmission facilities from Fire Island that is in excess of $25
million and is committed to supporting this project and providing the internal resources specified
in the grant application.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Bradley W. Evans, Chief Executive Officer, is authorized to
commit Chugach to any obligations under the grant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Ronald K. Vecera, Director of Project Development, is
designated as the point of contact to represent Chugach for purposes of this grant application.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Chugach is in compliance with applicable federal, state and
local laws including existing credit and federal tax obligations.

I, Doug Robbins, do hereby certify that I am the Secretary of Chugach Electric Association, Inc., an electric non-profit cooperative membership
corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Alaska: that the foregoing is a complete and correct copy of a resolution adopted
at a meeting of the Board of Directors of this corporation, duly and properly called and held on the 20 day of August , 2011; that a quoram
was present at the meeting; that the resolution is set forth in the minutes of the meeting and has not been rescinded or modified.
