Proposed System Design Capacity and Fuel Usage (Include any projections for continued use of non-renewable fuels) a) Proposed renewable capacity (Wind, Hydro, Biomass, other) [kW or MMBtu/hr] Anticipated system is two 60 ton heat pumps (1440 MBH total heating capacity) with seawater as source; and 60 Ton cooling capacity from new titanium plate seawater heat exchanger. Final recommendation of heating and cooling equipment will be made in the evaluation. b) Proposed annual electricity or heat production (fill in as applicable) i. Electricity [kWh] 46,640 KWH will be offset by natural seawater cooling ii. Heat [MMBtu] 1,213 MMBtu (equivalent of 8,710 gal heating oil/ year) c) Proposed annual fuel usage (fill in as applicable) i. Propane [gal or MMBtu] New heat pumps are anticipated to consume @111,000 KWH grid electricity/year to produce 1,213 MMBtu for anticipated annual heat pump system COP of 3.2 ii. Coal [tons or MMBtu] Existing heating oil boilers anticipated to consume 3,730 gallons of #2 heating oil per year to cover peak loads during periods of cold seawater and ambient air temps, this is a 70% reduction over existing usage iii.
