RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION #~()Ii)-
A resolution authorizing Napakiak Ircinraq Power Company to pursue funds from the Renewable
Energy Fund to build a wind energy system.
WHEREAS;The Nati~e Village of Napakiak is a federally recognized Tribal entity in the State
of Alaska,and the Napakiak IRA Council is the governing body for the Native Village of
Napakiak,and;
WHEREAS:The Napakiak IRA Council provides electrical utility services to the community
d.h.a Napakiak Ircinraq Power Company,and;
WHEREAS:the Napakiak Ircinraq Power Company is a certified electric utility servmg
Napakiak,governed by a Board of Directors;and
WHEREAS:Alaska Energy Authority is soliciting applications for the Renewable Energy
Fund Round 4 for funding for renewable energy projects around the state of Alaska and
WHEREAS:Napakiak Ircinraq Power Company desires to increase the energy efficiency of
the local power plant,tribal homes and community buildings,while reducing the fossil fuel
requirement,and wish to install a wind energy system that achieves that goal;and
WHEREAS:Napakiak Ircinraq Power Company endeavors to pursue funding from the
Renewable Energy Fund Round 4 to pursue renewable energy solutions
WHEREAS;Napakiak Ircinraq Power Company commits to providing the matching resources
indicated in the application to the Renewable Energy Fund Found 4,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED TIlAT The Native Village of Napakiak hereby
supports the Napakiak Ircinraq Power Company's application to the Renewable Energy Fund of
Alaska and its efforts to cooperate and coordinate these energy projects with the Chaninik Wind
Group,and authorize Daniel Nelson.Napakiak Ircinraq Power Company General Manager to
represent them as an applicant for their efforts to apply for,secure,and obtain funding to install
their wind/diesel system;and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Napakiak Ircinraq Power Company is in good standing
with respect to its existing credit and federal tax obligations.

The foregoing resolution was passed and approved by the Napakiak IRA Council on this Day
