Re: Approval for Alaska Energy Authority Grant Application Submittal
Dear Mr. White,
As the President and Chief Operating Officer of Ormat, I hereby give approval of and endorse the
application for grant funds from the Alaska Energy Authority submitted by Ormat Nevada, Inc.
on September 15th, 2010, for a resource assessment of the Mount Spurr geothermal area located in
Alaska.
By submitting this application, we hereby:
- Commit the organization to provide the matching resources for project at the match
amounts indicated in the application.
- Authorize Connie Stechman, who signed the application, has the authority to commit
the organization to the obligations under the grant.
- Provide Rahm Orenstein (rorenstein@ormat.com) as point of contact to represent the
applicant for purposes of this application.
- Certify the applicant is in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local, laws
including existing credit and federal tax obligations.
Ormat anticipates the project will benefit from the grant funds if fortunate enough to be accepted.
As you know from Ormat’s experience in financing, building, owning and operating these types
of projects, we are fully capable of implementing the tasks necessary to successfully complete
this resource assessment within the time frames given in the application.
