This is a letter of support for Ormat's Alaska Energy Authority {AEA} renewable energy
grant application to do additional exploratory drilling and assessment of the potential
geothermaI resource at Mt. Spurr.
Chugach is supportive of the development of renewable energy projects that will
integrate well into the Rai Ibch elec[ric system and provide reliable power at competitive
rues.
The geothermal project is being actively investigated by Onnat and could be a very
efficient and cost effective power supply resource for the Railbelt_ Chugach supports
Ormat's continued efforts to develop this resource and encourages AEA's support as
well,
