SVHS Wood Heat System and associated Fuel-Wood Forest
To Whom It May Concern:
As the principal of Su-Valley Jr/Sr High, it is my pleasure to endorse the
proposed Wood Heat System and associated Fuel-Wood Forest for Su-
Valley. I see this as an opportunity to potentially use a renewable source of
energy for the school, which seems to coincide with our energy efficient
‘LEED’ status.
The Mat-Su School District has a Forestry Management curriculum that,
combined with the Wood Heating System, could provide students with
opportunities that we aren’t currently able to offer. The vocational math and
science application opportunity for students is also very exciting.
I fully support moving forward with this proposal. As an advocate of
renewable energy and student achievement, I believe the students and
community will benefit from the Wood Heating System.
