Dear Walt Wrede,
Re vision is excited about the opportunity to work with you on the Homer tidal power
feasibility project and will support the project by providing technical consulting and
support services throughout the project. Re vision will also provide 40 hours of in-kind
support by our senior engineer, valued at $5,600 for phase II activities.
Re vision consulting, LLC has played a pivotal role in the development of marine
hydrokinetic programs in the US and abroad, most recently providing a technical lead
role in EPRI’s ocean energy programs. In this role, the company has conducted many
conceptual level feasibility studies similar to the one proposed in this project. It will
leverage this experience and know-how to assist in making the Homer tidal project a
success. Re vision consulting is also the recipient of two grants from the Department of
Energy’s Advanced Waterpower Programs including: (1) Development of Best Siting
Practices for Marine Hydrokinetic Technologies, and (2) Development of Cost Profiles
for Marine Hydrokinetic Technologies. The body of work developed through these
already funded projects will directly benefit this project.
