Box 767 Bethel, Alaska 99559 Re: NAHBG grants projects identified by AVCP/RHA Dear Mr. Hoffman: Calista Corporation, ANCSA regional corporation for the Calista/AVCP region is in support of AVCP Housing's Native American Housing Block Grant applications for the following projects: 1. New TDHE Regional Headquarters in Bethel, Alaska. This project will provide office space for AVCP Housing staff, a one -stop service for TDHE beneficiaries and clients, and a training center for new construction workers. 2. Water and sewer projects in Akiak, Eek, Nunapitchuk and Atmautluak. These projects will extend existing water and sewer systems to new housing subdivisions in these villages. 3. Bethel Low Rent (BLR) weatherization and siding project. This project will provide energy saving measures for love -income tenants of the Bethel Low Rent apartment complex in Bethel, Alaska. 4. Multi -family housing projects in St. Mary's, Toksook Bay, Scammon Bay and Kotlik. This will provide 24 new housing units for very low to low income residents of those villages that are not eligible for other housing services. 5. Renewable Energy/Wind Turbine Project for AVCP Housing headquarters and BLR apartment complex in Bethel, Alaska. This project will provide energy saving measures for AVCP Housing offices, the BLR project, and single family housing subdivision built by AVCP housing in Bethel and reduce dependence on fossil fuel generated energy systems. It is our hope that the AVCP Regional Housing Authority'Till be successful in securing the required funds for these projects for the mutual benefit of the housing constituents in the region.
