The Alaska Workforce Investment Board, Alaska Vocational
Technical Center's governing board, delegates authority to AVTEC's Chief
Administrative Officer (director), or his designee, in all matters related to
administration and operation of AVTEC. These matters include, but are
not limited to: accreditation; additions, changes, deletions, and delivery
of instructional programs; supervision and management of personnel;
student instruction, admissions, housing, financial aid, and recreation
services. Matters related to operating and capital budget preparation
and expenditures will be under the delegated authority of the
Commissioner, Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
