Re: Jack River Hydro Project
Dear Mr. Haagenson:
Ahtna, Incorporated supports the proposed Native Village of Cantwell feasibility study for a hydro
electric project on the Jack River near Cantwell.
It is important for AEA, Native Village of Cantwell and Ahtna to search for ways to develop
renewable energy systems in rural Alaska, and by providing funding for this project it would
ensure cooperation from all entities involved.
We believe that this area may very well be a significant component of a renewable energy plan
for the Ahtna Region.
