Hear Chairman Kelsey,
I am writing to urge you to support. 2 critical energy projects for the community of Cordova, both of these
projects are needed to allow the survival and growth of this conmnunnity.
i} the Purchase of a high efficiency, low ecnissions diesel generator and accompanying heat recovery
unit.
2) Cordova Electric Cooperative's construction of the Humpback Crook Hydroelectric facility
The Seafood sector of the community is adding significant shore -based seafood processing capacity in
2009. as we continue to process more seafood products on shore and develop more value added products
from these vital natural resources, we need to continue to grow our energy capacity to thatch this growth.
Shore based processing creates jobs, grows the economy and there for is vital to this community and the
state of Alaska. Applying State energy revenues to efficient and renewable power generation is an excellent
investment itt the future 1 am sure you agree.
Thank you for your consideration of these 2 important, renewable energy projects.
