RE: Letter in Support of a Grant Application by Louden Tribal Council
(Galena Renewable Energy Project)
Dear Mr. White:
This letter is to notify you that the Galena City School District supports the
Louden Tribal Council in submitting an application for a grant from the AEA
for purchase and installation of a renewable energy project in Galena.
The community and the Tribal Council have worked closely developing this
project, the school district is entirely supportive of the concept and
appreciates Louden Tribal Council taking the lead in this community wide
effo rt.
The City of Galena owns the property where the wood chip storage and the
heat and power plant will be located, and is willing to cooperate with the
Tribal Council during the installation and development of the project, and to
assume ownership and operation of the completed project as envisioned in
the application. The school district would the major customer in this venture
and is quite support of this opportunity.
