RESOLUTION NO. 1 OF 2008
ARCHANGEL GREEN POWER LLC
WHEREAS, B. Jill Reese is the only member of, and authorized point of contact
for, the Alaska corporation Archangel Green Power LLC, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Archangel Green Power LLC to be an example of
sustainability, to reduce its community’s carbon footprint, to provide educational and
recreational opportunities to the public, to preserve and expand an important
component of the Hatcher Pass area’s gold mining history and economic development
opportunities and to provide an alternative source of non-polluting energy for the
general welfare and progress of the Mat-Su Borough residents and beyond and
WHEREAS, fuel costs are rising and unstable, and this project meets the needs of
the trend and utility mandate to provide alternative renewable energy sources without
discrimation and
WHEREAS, jobs would be created and sustained with the creation of the
Archangel Creek Alternative Energy Project and
WHEREAS, Archangel Green Power LLC is in compliance with all federal, state,
and local law, including existing credit and federal and obligations.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED on this 10th day of November, 2008, by the sole
member of Archangel Green Power LLC:
That it is the intent of Archangel Green Power LLC to apply for a grant from the
Alaska Energy Authority in the amount of $60,000.00 toward a total to be requested for
completion of the project in the amount of $6,420,000.00. The initial funds in the
amount of $60,000.00 are for the purpose of conducting feasibility studies for a 1.7 MW
run of the river hydro electric power plant, known as the “Archangel Creek Alternative
Energy Project” for generating power to sell to the local utility company for
disbursement to the community.
