RESOLUTION # 08-06
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE ASA'CARSARMIUT TRIBAL COUNCIL TO
PARTICIPATE AND RECEIVE FUNDING THROUGH THE ALASKA ENERGY
AUTHORITY'S RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAM
WHEREAS: The City of Mountain Village is a second class municipal government
incorporated in 1967; and
WHEREAS: The Asa'carsarmiut Tribal Council with approval and cooperation from the City of
Mountain Village is planning on constructing Wind Turbines.
WHEREAS: The entities involved will benefit from this project with a. decrease in energy
capacity for the City and Tribal Oflice's.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The City of Mountain Village supports the
efforts of the Asa'carsarmiut Tribal Council for Alaska Energy Authority funds to purchase wind
turbines.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: The City of Mountain Village understands and agrees
to match funds in the amount ofSLoo,00 as required by grant guidelines.
