I also understand that you are seeking to "recycle" half of your profits to fund additional renewable energy projects throughout the region to provide lower -cost power on a more regional basis. Given the extreme economic hardship that diesel fuel price increases have triggered this year throughout rural Alaska, I applaud your efforts to develop and implement a comprehensive energy plan which very well could become a model for how renewable wind energy can better be integrated into the electrical generation plans for many rural villages in western and southern Alaska. If I can do anything to further support your grant request before federal agencies do not hesitate to contact my energy legislative assistant, Chuck Kleeschulte, at (202) 224-9306. Good luck and I hope that federal agencies will fully support your village's efforts to conserve energy and promote energy efficiency. Sincerely, CJ Lisa Murkowski United States Senator HOME PAGE AND WEB MAIL MURKOWSKI.6ENATE.GOV
