Thomas Ravens and Nyrée McDonald have proposed a noble endeavor for which they are both highly qualified to succeed. The University of Alaska Anchorage School Of Engineering is prepared to support their efforts with administrative aid, office and laboratory facilities, equipment maintenance, and logistics for field work. Their proposal will provide an extraordinarily valuable service to residents of rural Alaska that is within the mission and goals of our university. Their work, if funded, will create new knowledge of coastal and riverine conditions and related hydrokinetic power generation potential across the State of Alaska.
