RE: Additional Comments on KSLC Makushin Geothermal Grant Application
Dear Mr. White:
Please find attached a letter dated November 27, 2008, from Mr. Paul Fush, lobbyist for KSLC, to
Mayor Marquardt and City Council Members. The circled paragraph in page two reaffirms our
previous comments concerning KSLC using the anticipated grant funds to value the resource so
that they can use that information against the City in negotiations for royalty payments with KSLC.
In a word this is wrong. To use state funds to assist a private land owner from California in
negotiations with the RCA utility is inconceivable.
Please include these documents and our previous comments as part of the permanent record for
this file.
